Hey, my hair is a lot shorter than yours but I am having the same issue. They are flattening and there is about an inch of loose hair at the ends that doesn't want to dread. I wish I had advice for you!
My dreads are one week old. I have not washed my dreads yet but I have gotten them wet twice and each time they have loosened up quite a bit. I am going to buy two products tomorrow from dreadlockshampoo.com. I have narrowed it down to either locking gel or sea salt spray. Which would you suggest and why? And also, one type of shampoo, either the bar or the liquid. I am not sure which is better though. I feel like my hair is so fragile right now that it wont be able to handle me scrubbing and rinsing liquid shampoo through it. Does any one have advice regarding any of these four products?
I thought it said dread locks made out of crayola clay! I was like what on earth?! And then I realized...These beads are so pretty! It makes me want to make some! I would totally trade you something but I don't feel like I have anything as neat or interesting as these.
